Riverside Community Center
Fun & Fitness for the Whole Family

Come enjoy our beautiful community center. Our solid-brick community center houses a gym, stage, meeting rooms, kitchen and outdoor pool. Many of these amenities are available to rent for your business function or social event.

Summer season passes are also available to the swimming pool. The community center is ADA Compliant and for your safety features portable AED (automated external defibrillators) in each building. Handicap parking is available in the community center's parking lot.

Open Gym Hours
The Community Center offers open gym hours during the week for residents.  Hours are Monday-Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 12 to 6 p.m.

Healthy Citizens Initiative
Riverside residents are now eligible for reduced rates at area fitness centers through the Riverside Healthy Citizens Initiative. The City partnered with the Platte County Community Center, the North Kansas City Community Center and the Gladstone Community Center to provide this service to its residents. Through this program, residents will pay 25 percent of the membership fee and the City will pay the remaining 75 percent. You have a safe choice. Instead of abandoning or putting your baby in danger, hand your baby to someone at a Safe Haven. In Missouri, a person stating they are a parent may leave their baby in the hands of staff at a police station, fire station ambulance station or hospital.
