Is the process for obtaining a General Contractor's License to work in Riverside, when one's business is licensed outside of Riverside, different from the standard business licensing process?
Yes. This process starts with the City Clerk. Please contact the City Clerk at (816) 741-3993 or cityclerk@riversidemo.com. This licensing fee is $84.00 yearly (and pro-rated on a quarterly basis). A Certificate of Workers' Compensation Insurance coverage is required and if you are exempt, an "Affidavit of Exemption" must be completed and notarized. Is the process for obtaining a Craftsman (Subcontractor's) license different?
Yes. Craftsmen require permits which are available through the Codes Officer available at (816) 741-1993 or CodesOfficer@RiversideMo.com.
What are the licensing fees?
