Riverside Community Center
Fun & Fitness for the Whole Family

Come enjoy our beautiful community center. Our solid-brick community center houses a gym, stage, meeting rooms, kitchen and outdoor pool. Many of these amenities are available to rent for your business function or social event.

Summer season passes are also available to the swimming pool. The community center is ADA Compliant and for your safety features portable AED (automated external defibrillators) in each building. Handicap parking is available in the community center's parking lot.

Healthy Citizens Initiative
Riverside residents are now eligible for reduced rates at area fitness centers through the Riverside Healthy Citizens Initiative. The City partnered with the Platte County Community Center and the North Kansas City Community Center to provide this service to its residents. Through this program, residents will pay 25 percent of the membership fee and the City will pay the remaining 75 percent. For more information about signing up or the program in general, including rates, call the City at 741-3993, or see the information flyer in the Document Center.

Slow Down in Neighborhoods

As summer approaches and more kids are outside, take a moment and check your speed in neighborhoods.  Most residential streets in Riverside are 20 or 25 mph and, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, driving just 10 mph over this speed limit triples the likelihood of a crash and increases the odds of a hit pedestrian dying by more than 400%.  Do your part to keep our community safe by slowing down in neighborhoods and being aware of pedestrian traffic.
