Riverside Parks and Recreation
Homestead Park
Homestead Park, originally named City Park, is Riverside's oldest park. After the flood of 1974, the decision was made not to rebuild several duplexes located on this tract. The land was donated to the city by Kirk Artley and Emery Brenner.
Now protected by a state-of-the-art levee, Homestead Park features a playground, picnic table and two outdoor basketball courts.
Located north off of NW Vivion Road, on Homestead Road (east of the Mid-Continent Public Library), this neighborhood park is a well-kept Riverside secret.
