Municipal Budget

The City of Riverside budget is the product of a comprehensive team effort from every level of the municipal government. Each year the department heads work with the finance officer and city administrator to prepare a budget that that focuses on the needs of the citizens and businesses in an effort to strategically fund those programs with the highest priority. The Board of Aldermen reviews the budget requests in May and June and adopts the budget by June 30.

The City of Riverside was awarded in the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
