Got Worms? Vermicomposting Workshop this Saturday, Feb. 4th, at 9am

On Saturday, February 4th, the City of Riverside is providing a vermicomposting workshop at the Riverside Community Center at 9am.

Worm composting, also known as vermicomposting, uses earthworms to turn organic waste into high quality compost. The worms not only decompose food scraps, but they make highly fertile topsoil, which is great for your garden!

Attendees are encouraged to bring an old recycling bin or a similar container to the workshop where presenter, Art Homer, will demonstrate how to create a worm farm. The process is simple, cheap, and easy to maintain. There are no fruit flies, spiders, or other critters to worry about. All ages are welcome!
